An amazing post

An excerpt from a great post:

"It is strange, too, because women are by no means the second sex. As Camille Paglia conclusively demonstrates, women are without question the dominant sex in our society. No one who has ever seen the desperate attention-seeking of teenage boys or intricately-shaped lavender soap in the private bathroom of a rich and powerful CEO can doubt it. It is usually not much more than a decade, somewhere in the years from 15 to 30, that a man is not under the strong influence of a woman.

There is a saying, that a woman is, and a man must become. Perhaps it is this need on the part of males to become, this sense of a battle fought and won, that separates the sexes more than any other.

Or perhaps it is that women simply do not understand that male respect is never given freely, it must always be earned. And the only way it is earned is by taking complete responsibility for one's words, one's actions and one's decisions."

Too many women believe, simply by beautifying themselves they can demand and sustain respect, and equality.

With those two things, comes accountability and responsibility.

Camille? You're qouting Camille?

OK now I really know you're obsessed with hypocrisy.

Camille? as in this author?

Yeah, she's another hypocrite. She's always chirping about how women should return to traditional gender roles while she herself is an avowed lesbian!!!!

Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I dont know this author, although the quotes I presented are in direct support of my position.

Maybe she believes straight women should return to traditional roles. ANd in fact, it would make sense for those women who believe in traditional roles when it comes to forming relationships (at least it would make sense to non-hypocrites)

So you're saying this is the first you've heard of Camille Paglia?

Wow.

THE_HMF said...

Yes. under what circumstances would I have heard of her earlier? Did she ever throw the first pitch at the world series?

Anyway, no loss. The woman is a nut. A vocal lesbian for traditional gender roles. WTF?

Like I said, maybe she's a vocalist for straight women to practice traditional gender roles. I dont know Im not sure, it would make sense since many women want traditional gender roles in certain spheres.

world net daily, camille paglia, and hmf - a more perfect trifecta of hysteria could not be imagined by the best minds in fiction.

listen call it what you want, how about you attempt to actually address the point? but you can't so you do what most do, fall back to easy categorizations like "hysteria"

At least shanti attempt to disprove the points I make (unsuccesfully) but I do give her credit for making the attempt.
